Our district's School-Linked Mental Health Services partnership began in 1998 to bring community mental health directly to students and their families within a school setting. Today these services are one of the few offered in the Twin Cities metro that embed therapists in 25 schools in four districts: Robbinsdale, Osseo, Anoka-Hennepin, and Intermediate District 287. These services provide an efficient solution for districts overwhelmed with the demand for social and behavioral health services. Because therapy is provided onsite, it’s more accessible for busy families, reducing variables that may prevent individuals from receiving care.
This school year, RSI is fortunate to welcome Marcell Lenoir as our new School-Linked Mental Health Therapist. Mr. Lenoir, has completed his Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is a compassionate clinician with proven ability to work collaboratively and independently, providing quality services to at-risk populations. Marcell is skilled in needs assessment, counseling/therapy techniques and treatment planning.
