Your student may qualify for Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer (S-EBT) benefits. This benefit provides families with school-aged children eligible for free or reduced school meals a benefit of $40 per month, per child ($120 total) during the summer months.
Eligibility
Students enrolled in Rdale schools can qualify through the following methods:
- Families who receive the benefits through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP), Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR), Foster and Medicaid
- Students who are categorically eligible (homeless, foster, migrant or runaway)
- Students approved for free/reduced-price lunch for the 2023–24 school year
If you believe you may be eligible for summer S-EBT benefits and have not completed an application for educational benefits for the 2023-24 school year, families can apply online through May 31, 2024. If families miss the May deadline, they can apply through August 30 to receive a later benefit amount.
Benefit cards will automatically be mailed by the S-EBT program to families who qualify. Please make sure your home address is up to date to ensure you receive your benefits. Please contact the Enrollment Center to update your address at Enrollment@rdale.org or 763-504-8080.
