Due to supply chain issues, families should expect menu changes in the coming days and weeks. Not only do these supply chain issues impact our district’s school meal program, but are also impacting other school districts, restaurants and businesses across the nation.
While we can guarantee we’ll always have good, nutritious food for our kids to eat at school, it may not always be what they are expecting. Thankfully, our vendors have been working closely with us to stay ahead of any potential issues.
However, please be aware that:
Our planned menus allow for consistency and forecasting. So far, we haven’t had to make a lot of changes from the menus, but we are getting many food product substitutions. Vendors automatically make changes and we have to adapt our menus as a result of changes.
Because of the substitutions, it’s hard to maintain accuracy in the ingredient and allergen information on our online menus. That means for the time being, we will not include that information until things stabilize and we know what we share is accurate.
When we can, we will update our online menus to reflect last-minute substitutions. If you print these menus, please keep in mind they are subject to change.
