Dear Elementary and Critical Care Families,

We are excited to bring our elementary students back into our buildings as we begin our transition to in-person learning. While we don’t make it a practice to send multiple family communications in one day, we want to ensure we are sharing information with families in a timely manner. Registration has begun for Adventure Club School-Age Care to accommodate the shift to an In-Person Learning Model for elementary students. New contracts will need to be submitted, families can update their registration at

  • Grades K-2 have a planned start date of Jan. 19

  • Grades 3-5 have a planned start date of Feb. 1.

*All start and end dates in this document will be adjusted if the switch in the Learning Model is different from the dates currently planned.

Critical Care and School Day Fee-Based Care Update
Free critical care during School Day hours will no longer be available for grades K-2 starting at the end of the day on Jan. 14 and Jan. 29 for grades 3-5. Fee-based care during school day hours will also end. *Northport students will receive care at Lakeview Elementary

Grade 3-5 students with a current Distance Learning contract will continue to receive critical care from Jan. 19 - Jan. 29 but will transition to their home elementary schools.

Please note K-5 Critical Care/Adventure Club will be closed on Friday, Jan. 15 so staff can physically move back to their sites, set up and train for new students. The Basement middle school critical care will continue as normal at Sandburg Middle School until middle schools make a learning model change.

Care Options
Please register at Click on the “Scheduling Options” tab under Learn More on the website Adventure Club to see Before and After School fee-based care options.

Distance Learning Contracts
These contracts will be paused at end of day Jan. 14 for grades K-2 and end of day Jan. 29 for grades 3-5. If the District would transition back to distance learning, these contracts could be re-activated.

Non-School Day Registration
When you submit an In-Person School-Age Care contract, please register for any upcoming Non-School Days on that contract. If you already registered for the Jan. 25 Non-School Day on your Distance Learning contract, it will be honored. If you want to register for only Non-School Days, an In-Person Learning Model contract needs to be created and select the Drop-In Days schedule.

CCAP Funding
Adventure Club continues to partner with the Hennepin County Childcare Assistance program.  Please call Hennepin County at 612-348-5937 to inquire about eligibility.
