La Escuela de Inmersión de Español en Robbinsdale, es una comunidad que promueve la pasión del idioma español y las culturas hispanas. SPEAK, READ AND LEARN IN TWO LANGUAGES
Dual Language Immersion (DLI) helps students develop greater cognitive flexibility, increased memory and attention, advanced problem solving skills, and enhanced communication ability. A strong DLI program is built on three pillars: bilingualism and biliteracy, high academic achievement, and sociocultural competence.
At RSIS, we believe learning a new language opens students to new perspectives and understanding of different cultures. Each year, native Spanish speakers come to the community as interns from the Amity Institute, deepening our students’ exposure to people from different parts of the world – and to their customs and traditions. Living with host families, our interns help in class as they converse with students in Spanish.
For well over three decades, RSIS has prepared students for global awareness and citizenship. Alumni of our program return regularly to talk about their jobs in various corners of the world – in international business, diplomacy, and other areas – and how learning a second language from an early age helped them achieve and grow.
Our school’s key values are respeto, responsabilidad, comunidad – respect, responsibility, and community. Although we are a big school, we retain the feeling of a family as we learn about cultural traditions of Spanish-speaking countries.
RSIS celebrated its 35th graduating class in 2022!
